Today I talk about the highlight of my pre-physical therapy journey so far, a fun post by my favorite pre-PT blogger, and a resource for students preparing for PT school interviews. Honestly, I’m surprised I got 4 other points for this week’s 5-Points Friday because I am finding it difficult to focus on anything but 1 exciting point!

^^could not have been any more true this week.. On Valentine’s Day I got an email rejection from UND, and the very next day I received an interview invitation to PCOM! We are still in this :))
fun post I’m reading —
It’s no secret that I am the biggest fan of Samantha’s blog Braidologie >>>here.
She does an amazing job of writing about her personal journey, pre-physical therapy journey, and all the things in between — in an authentic way!
Also, she’s just a really cool girl in general.
I can tell that she writes about what she loves and seriously admire just how long she has committed to blogging ( 2.5 years?! )
So naturally I loved her latest post: How To Start a Home Gym >>>here.
It’s perfect for anyone wanting to save money, time, and space with home workouts!
moment I’m celebrating —
In yesterday’s post, A Rollercoaster Journey for Pre-PT >>>here, I let you guys know that I’ve been invited to interview at a DPT program!! I still have a lot of preparations to make, but omg you guys I am so happy.
I just want to make the most of this opportunity. I keep going back and forth between ‘don’t get your hopes up’ and ‘OMG I’m doing this!’
Had to share because it was easily the highlight of my day yesterday, and probably the highlight of my entire pre-physical therapy journey.
( Any advice is VERY MUCH appreciated! )
advice I’m taking —
Dr. Jasmine Marcus is an amazing resource for pre-PT students. She recently sent me an article she wrote about interviewing for DPT programs. I had to share because I read it immediately and it’s packed full of helpful advice!
Find the article, 5 Tips To Help You Ace Your PT School Interviews >>>here.
Besides this article, Dr. Jasmine has written on not only several topics in the physical therapy world, but also general health and career topics too. She also helps pre-PT students with proofreading and editing personal statements and essays for PT school applications.

quote I’m reflecting on —
^^currently reflecting on my own story and how I should tell it to myself and others
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! It’s still snowy, winter-y, and freezing cold here in North Dakota. This weekend is supposed to have a high of 20 and a low of 0 degrees just for reference… So naturally I’ll be sipping hot tea all day, snuggling my new puppy, and preparing for the interview.
What interview question gave you trouble in the past? It can be an interview for a job, grad school, or anything really!
Be back tomorrow~
-jess
You are so sweet! Thanks for sharing all of that
