5-Points Friday

Goodbye Comfort Zone Edition, 5-Points Friday

5-Points Friday is a new series I’m doing to wrap up a week’s worth of lessons learned, healthy snacks, and little bursts of what I’m up to. It’s also a progress report of how I’m becoming a top contender for PT school. Enjoy!

 new skill I’m learning —

After being a guest on the PrePT Grind podcast, which was audio & video, I realized how uncomfortable I am on video & how much more practice I want with it.

About 2 days after being on PrePT Grind, I made my first video for my blog! It is a short 2 minute intro video if you’d like to see it.

The only way I’m going to get better at something is actually doing it, right? If you have any feedback (constructive criticism plz!) definitely let me know! I would appreciate it :))

opportunity I am learning from —

The PrePT Grind guys: Joses & Casey invited me on to their podcast to talk about my pre-physical therapy journey. It ended up being an amaaaazing conversation that I’m actually STILL reflecting on. It was just so nice to talk with some like-minded people and their ambition was contagious, which I LOVE.

Also, just a huge reminder & flashback to me needing to keep my inner circle small & EXCLUSIVE.

book I’m revisiting —

If you need a little push to take that first step out of your comfort zone, or even to keep going once you’ve stepped out, this book is THE ONE. I read it a long time ago, and it is still the best personal development book out there. If books like the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, or How to Win Friends and Influence People, are on your reading list, then drop them & read this first!

It’s been a few years, and I still think about some of the quotes in that book that just MAKE SENSE. Like real life-lessons that I’ll never forget, you know? This book just spoke to me & I think a lot of us are into self-improvement & bettering ourselves so I had to share :))

You can find it on Amazon ::

quote I’m reflecting on —

I did what I set out to do because I didn't listen to other people's opinions AND I stepped the F outta my comfort zone
